“Dragon Tattoo” Noomi Rapace Joins Robert Downey Jr. & Jude Law in “Sherlock Holmes 2”
Noomi Rapace has landed the leading female role in the upcoming Warner Bros. film “Sherlock Holmes 2.” Rapace will join a cast that includes many of the members from the original “Sherlock Holmes” picture.
Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law are returning for the sequel as Holmes and Dr. Watson, respectively. The exact details of the sequel are being kept under wraps, but a few items are known at this point. Holmes is expected to face off against Moriarty in the sequel and his brother Mycroft will appear in the storyline. Rapace’s role is reportedly that of a French gypsy. Guy Ritchie is returning as director of the sequel.
Rapace is most famous for her starring role in the Swedish version of “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.”
