“Sherlock Holmes” Writer Tapped For New Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan Movie
Paramount Pictures has tapped screenwriter Anthony Peckham to develop the screenplay for the upcoming Jack Ryan spy thriller set up at the studio. Peckham will need to work fast as the studio is hoping to begin shooting later this year or early next.
The newest Jack Ryan spy thriller will follow Ryan’s earlier career with the story set in Russia and terrorism helping drive the plot of the story. The Tom Clancy based film franchise has already earned $787 million worldwide through four movies. Chris Pine is set to star as Jack Ryan with Jack Bender directing.
Peckham has been involved in several successful film project recently having written the scripts for “Invictus,” “Sherlock Holmes,” and “The Book of Eli.”
