Chloe Moretz Cast In “Emily the Strange”
Actress Chloe Moretz has landed the leading role in the upcoming Universal film “Emily the Strange.” The counterculture icon was created by skateboarder Rob Reger in the 1990s and was the design focal points of several of his skateboards, pins, and t-shirts.
Universal acquired the rights to Reger’s “Emily” icon a few weeks ago and is ready to adapt the character for a big screen feature. A film based upon the character has actually been in development since 2008 with Dark Horse Entertainment, but it wasn’t until now that a deal was reached to bring the character to the big screen.
Moretz starred in “Kick-Ass” as the character Hit-Girl and will next appear in the film “Let Me In.”
