Christopher Nolan In Search Of Director For “Superman”
Producer Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas have narrowed their search for a director for the upcoming “Superman” feature film. The project has been given new life with the search, which has been narrowed to five directors.
In the running to direct the film about the “Man of Steel” are Tony Scott (Unstoppables), Matt Reeves (Let Me In), Jonathan Liebesman (Battle: Los Angeles), Duncan Jones (Source Code), and Zack Snyder (Sucker Punch). Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures are financing the picture and need to get it into theaters by 2012 as they lose rights to the character by 2013.
Nolan has been wildly successful working with Warner Bros, especially on DC Comics’ superheroes. Nolan is the director behind “Batman Begins” and “The Dark Knight.”
