Tom Hanks Looking To Join “Sleeping Dogs”
Actor Tom Hanks is reportedly close to becoming the first to join the cast of the upcoming film “Sleeping Dogs.” The film will be director Kathryn Bigelow’s follow up to “The Hurt Locker” and is set up at Paramount.
Hanks would be the first actor to join the project which revolves around the border area between Paraguay, Argentina, and Brazil where organized crime thrives. The story will follow the tales of five individuals of differing ages, all of whom work in the zone. Bigelow will be reteaming with scribe Mark Boal who wrote “Hurt Locker.”
Several actors have previously been mentioned alongside this project including Leonardo DiCaprio, Christian Bale, and Sean Penn; but Hanks is the first to appear to be a solid bet to join the cast. The film has no official start date and the script is still a work in progress.
