Neil Patrick Harris To Direct First Feature Film
Neil Patrick Harris is adding another credit to his resume. The How I Met Your Mother star will make his feature directing debut with the indie romantic comedy AARON AND SARAH. Emma Roberts (Aquamarine) and Josh Hutcherson (The Kids Are All Right) have signed on as the film’s leads.
Aaron and Sarah is the story of a high school geek (Hutcherson) and a popular girl (Roberts) that become friends as freshmen, and follows their relationship through the four years before graduation.
As early as last year David O. Russell, who has just singed to direct Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, had initially been on board to direct the film. Before Russell, Sydney White director Joe Nussbaum was set to helm the picture.
Harris is set to star in CBS Films Beastly in March and The Smurfs set to be released in August.
Sandy Stern is producing for Single Cell Pictures along with Jesse Israel and Beau Bauman.
