Robert De Niro and Sigourney Weaver To Star in RED LIGHTS
Rodrigo Cortes, director of the 2010 film Buried has his next project ready to go! Cortes has written and will produce RED LIGHTS, a psychological thriller which will star Robert De Niro and Sigourney Weaver.
Red Lights is the story of a psychologist (Weaver) whose primary study of paranormal activity eventually leads her De Niro who steps into the role a famous psychic.
De Niro has most recently starred in Stone and Machete and will appear next in the comedy Little Fockers set for a December 2010 release.
Weaver will next star in the Universal comedy Paul which is released in March; and the Lionsgate thriller Abduction. She has most recently been seen in YouAgain and Avatar.
Parlay Films has acquired international rights to Red Lights, excluding Spam and South Korea. Lisa Wilson of Parlay will serve as an executive producer on the film, which will be shopped at AFM next month. UTA’s Independent Film Group arranged financing, as well as the domestic rights..
CSe Entertainment, a newly formed production and finance company run by Cindy Cowan and Soo Mi Kim, will co-finance in associate with Seoul-based Blue Storm Prods. Cowan and Blue Storm’s Y.K Bae will also serve as executive producers.
Red Lights is expected to begin principal photography in Spain in February of 2011.
