Johnny Galecki Cast In I’M.MORTAL Alongside Justin Timberlake
Johnny Galecki will join the cast of I’M.MORTAL, the new sci-fi thriller from New Regency. This will be Galecki’s first major feature role since starring in CBS’s The Big Bang Theory.
Andrew Niccol (Lord of War, The Terminal) wrote and will direct the project with Strike Entertainment producing.
I’m.Mortal (which is not confirmed as the film’s official title) is set in the not too distant future, and humans no longer age. The “aging” gene has been turned off, and to avoid over population, humans now pay their way with time. This results in the rich living forever, while everyone else tries to hold on to their immortality.
Galecki joins Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried (Mamma Mia!), and Olivia Wilde (House M.D). Galecki is playing Timberlake’s best friend, a father with a drinking problem that wastes away all of his family’s excess time.
This will be Galecki’s first major role since Big Bang Theory began in 2007, and shooting will begin at the end of the month.
