“Hellraiser” Remake In The Works
Patrick Lussier and Todd Farmer, the scribes behind the current "Drive Angry" project, are closing in on a deal to write the script for a new version of "Hellraiser." Dimension is the studio in charge of the project and is hoping to land the writing duo, with Lussier also expected to direct.
The studio has made several attempts in the recent past to kick start a revival of the franchise, but has reached a dead end each time. The latest failed attempt at landing a writing crew ended when negotiations with scribe Christian E. Christiansen fell through.
"Hellraiser" has existed in recent years on a strictly straight to DVD basis. Lussier, who edited the "Scream" franchise, and Farmer hope to revive the franchise much as Christopher Nolan did the "Batman" franchise.
