Christopher Nolan Releases Name of New Batman Film
Director Christopher Nolan released to the LA Times’ that the third film of his reboot of the Batman series will be titled THE DARK KNIGHT RISES.
He was pretty hush hush about the rest of the details of the film, but did let out a hint on the villain: “It won’t be The Riddler.” So, that narrows things down to… a lot. Christopher also went on to say that The Dark Knight Rises will show many of the same characters that we’ve seen in other films, but he will also be introducing a few new characters.
Due in theaters in 2012, The Dark Knight Rises will not be shot in 3D at the discretion of Warner Bros and Christopher Nolan, but will be shot using high definition and IMAX cameras.
The last release from Nolan’s Batman franchise, The Dark Knight, was released in 2008 and is the seventh highest grossing film of all time.
