Johnny Depp & Tim Burton Pair Up Again In DARK SHADOWS
Attention all Johnny Depp fans! Our favorite actor is pairing once again with Tim Burton in Burton’s big-screen adaptation of the vampire TV soap opera DARK SHADOWS.
The TV show which ran from 1966 to 1971, had supernatural elements (think werewolves, zombies, ghosts, and witches), and really took off when a vampire by the name of Barnabas Collins was introduced about a year into its run.
Depp will play the part of Barnabas Collins, the young vampire that is currently living in a mansion in Maine, and searching for his lost love.
Shadows has been kicked around for about three years, but now Warner Bros has set an April start date for the project.
This leads to some other questions for Depp fans. The other projects that he was looking at will either have to find new actors, or will need to be wrapped up by the April start date of Dark Shadows.
Shadows will be produced by Richard Zanuck, Graham King, and Christi Dembrowski. Seth Grahame-Smith has written the current draft of the project with John August co-writing.
