Pierre Morel Presents His Take On OUIJA to Universal
Pierre Morel, the director behind the Liam Neeson hit Taken, is presenting his outline of OUIJA to Universal this afternoon.
The ouija board was marketed as a board game through Hasbro, and the supernatural thriller will be based around the board that is used to communicate with the spirits of the dead.
Morel is also in talks with Warner Bros to direct EDF, or Earth Defense Force, a alien invasion movie that is set to be produced by Sam Raimi and Bill Block.
EDF is based around the story of three alien fighters that attack the planet, leaving countries humiliated. The governments of each country create a space fighting force in preparation for another attack by yet another alien fleet.
While Morel is high on Warner’s list for EDF, Ouija is a high priority for Universal and would be pushed in front of EDF is Morel’s take on the film is accepted.
However, if Ouija and EDF don’t work out, Morel also has Taken 2 to fall back on.
