Eli Roth Set For CLOWN and AFTERSHOCK

Best known for directing the two Hostel films, Eli Roth is at it again. Roth is set to produce two horror films: CLOWN and AFTERSHOCK which has been set up to be fully financed by Cross Creek Pictures and Vertebra Films.
CLOWN is being directed by Jon Watts from a script that he and Christopher D. Ford are writing. The idea came from a mock trailer they made and follows the story of a father who, well, sort of gets trapped in a clown suit that slowly drives him to become a homicidal killer.
If that weren’t terrifying enough, add Roth to the mix and you know that the movie is going to be something that the MPAA cringes at. Roth himself said: “People are hungry for the next Freddy Krueger, Michael Meyers or Jason Voorhees, and while that has to be earned, we think this cursed clown suit can do it. I am giving us permission to go as hard at this as possible. I’d like to apologize in advance to the MPAA, for what we’re going to put them through to get an R rating.”
Aftershock is set in Chile after the aftermath of the February 27, 2010 earthquake which created a tsunami and took the lives of over 480 people. The story will follow several characters that are trying to survive the aftermath of the quake. Aftershock will be written and directed by Nicolas Lopez, the creator and director of the Spanish-language hit Que Pena Tu Vida.
