George Clooney Eyeing Solo From MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E.
Earlier this week, we reported that Steven Soderbergh is going to be directing the big screen adaptation of MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E, and it didn’t take long for George Clooney to start eye up a role.
Clooney and Soderbergh have worked together in several films including the Ocean’s Eleven series, so it’s not a surprise that Clooney is looking at the Warner Bros. project. Apparently, Clooney has met with Soderbergh about playing Napoleon Solo in the film.
The movie is based on the 1960s TV series of the same name, and with Clooney looking to play Solo, it seems that the film may stick pretty true to the original series. Man from U.N.C.L.E. is still in the very early stages of development and Clooney and Soderbergh are both working on other projects, so there is not time line as to when the film will move forward.
