Mark Wahlberg Cast In UNCHARTED

David O. Russell is directing the big screen adaptation of the video game UNCHARTED, and it looks like he will team up with Mark Wahlberg once again! Casting is still very premature, nothing has been given the greenlight yet, but Wahlberg stated that he will re-team with Russell on the film. Wahlberg’s team did not respond for comment.
The Uncharted video game is based on a sharp shooter treasure hunter and according to Wahlberg, shooting for the picture will begin this summer.
This will be the fourth time that Russell and Wahlberg have worked together. The actor is currently starring in Russell’s drama The Fighter, and they have paired up previously on I Heart Huckabees and Three Kings.
Wahlberg also states that Joe Pesci and Robert De Niro are looking at casting options in Uncharted. “I’m obviously in whatever David wants to do but the idea of it is so off the charts: De Niro being my father, Pesci being my uncle. It’s not going to be the watered-down version, that’s for sure,” Wahlberg stated to MTV.
