Download Rentals On The Go With Flix on Stix
A revolution, of sorts, is coming soon to a retail location near you. A new version of Redbox rental kiosks, known as Flix on Stix, is ready to launch and could change the rental game all over again.
Flix on Stix operates much like Redbox kiosks currently do. Customers can walk right up to any kiosk location they can find, swipe their credit card, and rent a movie. The difference between Flix on Stix and Redbox is the mode the product is delivered in. Flix on Stix allows customers to connect their own USB drive (or purchase one on-site) and download a movie to rent or buy, and then head home.
The concept isn’t as new as it might seem. Paramount and Warner Bros. have been offering films, TV shows, and games via SD cards from Blockbuster kiosks since 2009. The technology has a way to go, but if successful could change the movie rental game once again.
