Aaron Johnson Cast in ALBERT NOBBS
Aaron Johnson, star of Kick-Ass, has been cast alongside Glen Close and Mia Wasikowska in ALBERT NOBBS.
Close plays the title character in the film that is described as a cross between Boys Don’t Cry and Gosford Park. Close’s character disguises herself as a man to survive life in 19th century Ireland. Eventually this leads to her being involved in a love triangle between Waskikowska and Johnson.
Johnson replaced Orlando Bloom in the part of the handy man that catches the eye of young maid Wasikowska, and joins the ensemble cast that also includes Jonathan Rhys-Meyers (The Tudors).
Close is producing the project which she co-wrote with John Banville. The story is based on a short story by Irish author George Moore.
Production is scheduled to begin on Albert Nobbs at the end of December in Dublin.
