Southwest Film Festival Will Open with Duncan Jones’ SOURCE CODE
Moon director Duncan Jones will open the Southwest Film Festival. Jones’ debut film Moon, was screened at the film fest, and helped the film become a cult favorite.
SOURCE CODE, starring Jake Gyllenhaal as a decorated soldier, is the story of Gyllenhaal’s character who is part of a secret government program that lets him take on the identity of another man… and experience the last few minutes of that man’s life.
“We are delighted to welcome Duncan Jones back to SXSW,” said festival producer Janet Pierson in a press release announcing the selection. “His debut Moon showed an intelligence, skill, and exceptional use of limited resources that’s exactly the kind of filmmaking we love to support.”
Source Code will also star Michelle Monaghan, Vera Farmiga, and Jeffery Wright. Summit Entertainment will release the film.
Southwest Film Fest runs from March 11 to March 19th in Austin, Texas.
