Fandago Gets New App on the iPad
As if I didn’t already have about a thousand reasons for wanting an iPad, according to Switched.com, it looks like I now have about a thousand and one.
Fandago has released an iPad version of their iPhone app that allows users to view movie show times and buy tickets all across America. The universal app is optimized to run on both the iPad as well as the iPhone.
Fandago is America’s leader in providing movie tickets, with apps on nearly every mobile platform out there. The new app uses the additional screen real-estate Apple’s 9.7-inch tablet provides wisely, including both portrait and landscape orientation support. In addition to purchasing tickets, it also allows the user to look up show times by location, view trailers and clips, see the current Box Office top 10, read reviews (from users as well as critics). You can even see Twitter user reactions with it. Users will also be able to use Fandago’s feature, called ‘The Pulse’, which tracks ticket sales in real-time and displays them on a map, giving you a glimpse at current movie popularity across the United States.
All in all it sounds like a great app, one which I’d be running right out to add to my iPad if I had one. Oh and the best part of all of this? It’s free!
