Cate Blanchett Cast in WHILE WE’RE YOUNG

According to a report at TheWrap.com, producer Scott Ruding has confirmed that Cate Blanchett will join other cast members Ben Stiller and James Franco in Noah Baumbach’s While We’re Young.
The film, a relationship dramedy, is about a free-spirited twenty-something Brooklyn couple (Franco and a yet-to-be-cast actress) who inspires a documentarian (Stiller) and his wife (Blanchett) to loosen up, after which hilarity ensues of course.
After working on films like Robin Hood, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, this will be Blanchett’s first turn at comedy in a while. Expected to work wonders with Bambach’s rich dialogue, the role might even win the actress some indie fans in addition to those who first fell for her in big-budget movies like The Lord of the Rings.
Up next for Blanchett will be Joe Wright’s teenage assassin tale Hanna, where she will star alongside Eric Bana and Saoirse Ronan. She’s also set to reprise her role as Galadriel in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit.
