WATER FOR ELEPHANTS Pushed to Easter Weekend Release
Bad news Twihards, looks like you’re going to have to wait one more week to his new film. According to a report at TheWrap.com, it all started when Warner Bros. decided to push back their Steve Carell-Ryan Gosling comedy Crazy, Stupid, Love from its original Easter Weekend release date.
That one shift opened up the release calendar for other studios, including 20th Century Fox. Wanting to take advantage of the opening on Easter Weekend, Fox moved Water For Elephants from its original release on April 15 to April 22, just two days before Easter.
The film stars Pattinson, Reese Witherspoon and Oscar winner Christoph Waltz and is Francis Lawrence’s adaptation of Sara Gruen’s bestselling novel about a love triangle set in a 1930s circus. If the movie is half as enchanting at the preview I just saw, then I’m sure it will go over well with all audiences, not just those who are a fan of a certain twinkling vampire. As for me, I’m more excited to see Waltz on screen again after falling head over heels in love with him in Inglorious Basterds. I’m a big fan of Witherspoon as well and while I don’t consider myself a Twihard, I think Pattinson looks very interesting in it.
All in all, I’d say it will be worth the extra week’s wait to see the film.
