Disney Will Release LION KING and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST in 3D
It was only a matter of time before Disney decided to release their classics in 3D! In 2011, Disney Studios plans on releasing at least 15 films in 3D, with THE LION KING and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST in the first round. Also being released in 3D will be TRON: LEGACY, and TANGLED, the most recent movies from Disney Studios.
For those of us that don’t have a 3D TV yet, don’t worry! The films will be released in Blu-Ray and standard 2D DVD as well.
While there aren’t specific dates for the release of the films, the push of 3D DVDs is expected based on Disney’s growing 3D film library.
Other films to be released in the new format are: THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS, CHICKEN LITTLE, BOLT, MEET THE ROBINSONS (3D spaceships!!!), and G-Force.
