Robert De Niro Will Lead Cannes Jury
Festival de Cannes is set to take place from May 11th to 22nd 2001, and Robert De Niro will serve as the jury president.
An established actor, director, and producer, De Niro stated: “The Cannes Film Festival is a rare opportunity for me as it is one of the oldest and one of the best in the world.”
When inviting him to lead the jury, the powers that be behind Cannes’ are going to pay tribute to his co-founding the Tribeca Film Festival in Manhattan, along with the sister festival in Doha. Tribeca will celebrate its 10th anniversary this year.
