Sam Rockwell Cast in COGAN’S TRADE
According to Deadline.com, Sam Rockwell has been added to the cast of the Andrew Dominik-directed comic crime saga COGAN’S TRADE.
Rockwell joins fellow cast member Brad Pitt, who plays Jack Cogan, a professional enforcer who investigates a heist that takes place during a high stakes poker game held under the protection of the mob. Rockwell’s role hasn’t been set yet in the ensemble piece.
Pitt, Rockwell and Dominick last worked together on The Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford and rumors are flying that their Jesse James co-star Casey Affleck may also be joining the Cogan’s cast.
The film is Dominik’s adaptation of the Georg V. Higgins novel. Chockstone’s Steve Schwartz and Paula Mae Schwartz are set to produce along with Plan B’s Pitt and Dede Gardner. Inferno’s Bill Johnson and Jim Seibel will be exec producers with Marc Butan, and Roger Schwartz is co-producer.
Currently Rockwell is in the Oscar hunt for his role of the wrongly imprisoned man Kenny Waters in Conviction, which he starred with alongside Hilary Swank. The actor recently wrapped the Jon Favreau-directed Cowboys and Aliens opposite Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig, and the Jonah Hill comedy The Sitter.
