Christopher Nolan Looking For Female Stars for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES
Christopher Nolan is on the hunt for female leads for his next Batman film, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. While there are several Hollywood stars being looked at – Keira Knightly, Anne Hathaway, and Jessica Biel – Nolan is not overlooking the lesser known names.
Kate Mara, Charlotte Riley, and Gemma Arterton are all testing for the roles. There are two spots to fill – one is Talia, daughter to villain Ra’s Al Ghul (played by Liam Neeson in Batman Begins), and love interested that has yet to be named.
Gemma Arterton was just recently cast in Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, so she might be out due to scheduling issues. Kate Mara has had small parts in Iron Man 2 and 127 Hours, and her sister is currently starring in the The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
Riley is a British actress engaged to Tom Hardy who has a signed on for an unknown role in Dark Knight Rises.
I’d be anxious to see one of the lesser known actresses step into this role, what say you?
