Sony Pictures Classics Looking At Rights To Morgan Spurlock’s THE GREATEST MOVIE EVER SOLD
Morgan Spurlock, the mastermind behind 2004’s documentary Super Size Me, is at it again. His current work THE GREATEST MOVIE EVER SOLD will debut at the Sundance Film Festival in just over a week. Sony Pictures Classics is working to get the domestic rights of the film, but neither Spurlock’s rep (CAA) nor the studio are commenting at this time.
The Greatest Movie Ever Sold is a documentary in which Spurlock attempts to get companies to fund his film. “Everywhere you look it seems like something’s being brought to you by some sponsor or some corporation,” Spurlock stated. “So we said, ‘Why not make a doc that looks at that and have the brands actually pay for it?'”
Sundance is predicting that Sold will be a huge hit, and this would be the perfect time for Sony Pictures Classics to snap it up!
