Free Documentaries Coming to iPad from SnagFilms
There’s a new app out there from SnagFilms. com, according to Yahoo.
The website offers more than 1800 documentaries for free online viewing and now 51 of those movies available in a new iPad app, which it released last week.
Prominent documentaries like Super Size Me and Confessions of a Superhero have already been available to iPad users via the Hulu Plus and Netflix apps. Some of less-known titles like Off The Grid and Life on the Mesa, which aren’t otherwise available on DVD, are also available and the company has said that they plan to add films to the iPad over time.
SnagFilms, unlike other services out there, is completely free, though they are supported by ads from American Express’s Members Project.
The new app lets users queue up films for later viewing and can share the movies via e-mail, Facebook, or Twitter. They are also able to buy the film from iTunes for offline viewing on any iOS device. SnagFilms is compatible with iPads running iOS 3.2 or later.
