A Guide To Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone Part 2

Kelly Michele

Kelly has been a lover of movies since she was little. Although her movie tastes have changed a little since her younger days of Carebears and Mary Poppins, her love of film hasn't. She can generally be found watching any horror movie she can get her hands on, but will occasionally throw an indie film or documentary into the mix to shake things up. She speaks in movie quotes and uses film references in daily conversation; and she does all of this while attempting to change the world's negative opinion of fangirls.

I’ve watched both versions, how it came out in the theaters and the extended version that ABC Family had been showing and the new DVD’s. I watch the extended version every month. The version with the added sceens is just soo much better. This movie is one of my favorites of all of the Harry Potter movies so far. One of my favorite seens is when Norbert was hatched. It took extreme talent and imagination to make the book come to life. Like the floating candles and pumkins that are in the great hall. The movie takes you away to the magical world of Harry Potter. Christopher Columbus has done a marvious job taking the book and making it seem real. I love the way he changed the seasons and the little humor he has added. You can not catch everything the first time you see it. It one of those movies that everytime you watch it you see something that you had missed. The Centar’s in the forbidden forest could have been a little better. But I highly recommend seeing the extended version.

Hi Annebell! Thanks for your comments! I agree with you – Christopher Columbus did an amazing job at bringing Harry’s world to life. Norbert’s hatching is perfect, and I think the quidditch matches were amazing as well!
