Coming Soon: WITHOUT MEN With Eva Longoria & Christian Slater
The Hollywood Reporter is confirming that Maya Entertainment has secured the rights to Gabriela Tagliavini’s comedy WITHOUT MEN. The movie will star a host of popular actors, including Eva Longoria Parker, Christian Slater, Oscar Nunez, Kate Del Castillo, Maria Conchita Alonso, Paul Rodriguez, Camryn Manheim and Judy Reyes.
Without Men is based on the novel Tales From the Town of Widows by James Canon, and focuses on the women of a small Latino American village, whose lives are changed the day the men of the village are recruited to go fight in the country’s civil war. Slater will play the American reporter who leads the men home upon their return, as they try to reclaim their power that erupts in a battle of the sexes. Tagliavini adapted the story for the film, which will be produced by Indalo Productions.
Without Men be released by the company in the U.S. as part of its Maya’s Indie Film Series, and will also be seen at the upcoming Berlin International Film Festival.
