Elizabeth Olsen Cast in RED LIGHTS
Whether breakout star Elizabeth Olsen likes it or not, her life is about to get very, very busy. Still reeling in accolades for her Sundance debut in Martha Marcy May Marlene, the actress has already chosen her next project: RED LIGHTS, helmed by Buried director Rodrigo Cortes’.
Olsen will join Robert De Niro, Sigourney Weaver and Cillian Murphy in the film, which is described as a “thriller about paranormal activity.” De Niro will play a world renowned psychic and Weaver will play a psychology professor. Olsen will take the role of Weaver’s student, with Cillian Murphy has her love interest. A self-proclaimed psychology junkie currently studying the subject at New York University, Olsen reportedly chose the project after “reading script after script after script.”
Olsen will take another break from school to work on the film, which is currently in pre-production. Although she loves the world of acting, she’s not quite ready to let her academic studies slide. “I’m so lucky that school is always there for me when I take these little breaks,” says the actress. “But my education is always a priority.”
