TIME CRIMES Moves to DreamWorks With Steve Zaillian Re-Writing
Steve Zaillian has moved the remake of the Spanish film TIME CRIMES from United Artists to DreamWorks. Zaillian had initially set up the time travel film with UA to have them produce, but Zaillian’s Film Rites have a first look deal with DreamWorks.
Time Crimes is a sci-fi thriller that involves a man who keeps going back an hour in time to attempt to alter the events of a crime.
Zaillian’s re-write of the script is coming after his adaptation of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and his deal to write the follow up: The Girl Who Played with Fire for Sony Picture Entertainment.
Zaillian will produce Time Crimes with Agnes Mentre. Executive producing will be Film Rites’ Garrett Basch along with Eduardo Carneros Gonzale and Nacho Vigalondo; who wrote and directed the original film Los Cronocrimenes.
