Barbra Streisand and Seth Rogen Hit the Road in MY MOTHER’S CURSE
Barbra Streisand and Seth Rogen are taking a road trip. According to The Hollywood Reporter, they will star as mother and son in Paramount’s long-percolating comedy MY MOTHER’S CURSE. Shooting is set to begin this spring with an eye toward a 2012 release.
Rogen will play an inventor who must travel cross-country as he tries to sell his latest product, so he takes his mom along with him to reunite her with a lost love. Both Streisand and Rogen were offered these roles last summer, but it has taken until now for My Mother’s Curse to get a green light.
Dan Fogelman (Cars) write the script based on travel experiences he shared with his own mother. Anne Fletcher (The Proposal) will direct while Lorne Michaels, John Goldwyn, and Evan Goldberg will produce. David Ellison, whose Skydance will co-finance the film, is on board as an executive producer along with Rogen, Streisand, and Fogelman.
Streisand was most recently seen in The Little Fockers while Rogen is currently in theaters in The Green Hornet.
