Warner Bros. Looks At New Dracula film HARKER
Vampires are the new black, and Warner Bros. is looking to close a deal on HARKER, a Dracula story written by Lee Shipman and Brian McGreevy. Deadline says that Harker will focus on Jonathan Harker as a Scotland Yard detective who tracks Dracula; and the film would set up Harker as a potential franchise character.
Harker will be produced by Leonardo DiCaprio (who will not star in the film) and Jennifer Davisson Killoran under their Appian Way banner; with co-production through Mad Hatter Entertainment. Michael Connolly from Mad Hatter will produce for the
company.
Directing Harker is Jaume Collet-Serra, the director of the new Liam Neeson film Unknown; and director of the super creepy Orphan. Warner Bros apparently has a great shot at closing the deal on Harker, despite that other studios are looking at the film.
