Amanda Seyfried Cast In GONE
Amanda Seyfried will star in the Summit Entertainment thriller GONE, The Hollywood Reporter announced today. The project, which will be helmed by popular Brazilian filmmaker Heitor Dhalia, was recently unveiled at the European Film Market in Berlin.
Allison Burnett will pen the script for Gone, which revolves around a young woman named Jill (Seyfried) who returns home one night to find her sister’s bed empty. Convinced that the kidnapping is the work of a serial killer who kidnapped her two years ago, she sets out to find her sister and face the abductor that has haunted her for years.
This is not Seyfried’s first time working with Summit – she previously worked with the studio for the films Dear John and Letters to Juliet. Seyfried gained critical acclaim for her role in Tina Fey’s 2004 hit Mean Girlsand will next be seen as the lead in Catherine Hardwicke’s Red Riding Hood, opening in theatres March 11th.
