MEN ARE FROM MARS, WOMEN ARE FROM VENUS To Become Romantic Comedy

Well, it more or less worked for ‘He’s Just Not That into You.’ Nineteen years after it was first published, John Gray’s MEN ARE FROM MARS, WOMEN ARE FROM VENUS is being adapted for the big screen. Deadline reports Summit Entertainment has tapped Harry Elfont and Deborah Kaplan to write and direct a romantic comedy based on the (still) incredibly popular book. BermanBraun’s Lloyd Braun and Gail Berman will produce.
Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus describes differences between the sexes and gives advice on creating better communication and finding common ground. Over fifty million copies have been sold in forty-five countries.
Elfont and Kaplan apparently already have that communication down since they have collaborated since meeting at NYU. Their first major film screenplay was 1996′s A Very Brady Sequel and they most recently wrote the 2010 Amy Adams vehicle Leap Year.
No casting has been announced yet.
I may be the only person left who hasn’t read this book, so for those who have–is there a movie here?
