Dominic Cooper and Anthony Mackie Are In Talks For ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER
After going through a few casting changes for the president himself, it looks like ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER is going to get some new blood added to its cast.
According to Deadline, Dominic Cooper is being looked at to play Henry, Lincoln’s mentor. Henry is the one that teaches Abe how to kill the vampires; and initially the role was being looked at by Joaquin Phoenix.
Cooper’s performance in The Devil’s Double was huge at the Sundance Film Festival, and he is another up and comer – which seems to be what director Timur Bekmambetov is looking for in his Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter cast.
In addition to Cooper, the role of Lincoln’s best friend Will has also been cast to new face in Hollywood. Anthony Mackie is in talks for the role, and as Will, would be in the middle of the vampire hunting. Mackie is on the cover of the Hollywood issue of Vanity Fair, and will star next with Matt Damon and Emily Blunt in The Adjustment Bureau.
