Michelle Pfeiffer, Helena Bonham Carter Looking To Join New Tim Burton Movie DARK SHADOWS
Tim Burton’s DARK SHADOWS is going to have some more familiar faces added to the cast! Deadline reports that Michelle Pfeiffer and Helena Bonham Carter are being courted for roles in the upcoming film based on the television show of the same name.
Burton worked with Pfeiffer on Batman Returns back in 1992, and is now in talks to play Elizabeth Collins. Elizabeth is the owner of Collinwood, the mansion where Dark Shadows takes place.
While talks haven’t officially begun, Bonham Carter is first in line to play Dr. Julia Hoffman. In the television series, Hoffman was a psychologist that specializes in blood disorders. She eventually becomes friends with the vampire Barnabas Collins, and tries to cure him from drinking blood.
Johnny Depp has been cast as Barnabas Collins, and this will mark yet another Burton film for Depp and Bonham Carter. The pair can also be seen (and heard!) in Sweeney Todd, The Corpse Bride, and Alice In Wonderland.
