Fox Gets Down To Business, Sets Release Dates For THIS MEANS WAR & CHRONICLE

Release dates have been set for two upcoming films from 20th Century Fox. According to Collider, the action-comedy THIS MEANS WAR will hit theatres on February 17, 2012 and CHRONICLE will reveal itself a few weeks before, on February 3, 2012.

This Means War stars Chris Pine and Tom Hardy. The two play former black-ops agents who go after each other when they fall for the same woman (Reese Witherspoon). Chronicle stars Dane DeHaan as a teenager who develops superpowers after being exposed to a mysterious chemical. DeHaan is best known for his role in the HBO series In Treatment, and the film is the feature debut of director Josh Trank.

This Means War will contend with other films (such as Ghost Rider 2) that are vying for the top grossing spot during President’s Day Weekend. Chronicle, however, should have a quieter weekend of competition.
