Brendan Fraser in 3D? So says producer Todd Moyer, who announced that the actor will take on the title role in the historical family action adventure WILLIAM TELL: 3D. The movie, to be directed by Nick Hurran, is set to be shot in Europe this fall from a script by Scott Reynolds.
William Tell is based on the North American legend of the man who shot an apple from the top of his son’s head with a bow and arrow, and focuses on how Tell was a revered historical figure in Europe for his ignition of an uprising against the Austrian government. While no other casting has been formally announced for the project, Moyer is currently in negotiations to add Anna Paquin – although no deal has been finalized as of yet. If added to the cast, Paquin would play Zora, Tell’s wife.

His other upcoming projects include playing the voice the role of Scorch in The Weinstein Company’s long-awaited 3-D animated film, Escape From Planet Earth, and a the role of a wealthy British nobleman enmeshed in Four Kings.
