Chris Hemsworth Puts Down Thor’s Hammer For SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN
We’ve all heard of this little film called THOR that has been stomping the competition at the box office. Chris Hemsworth, the face of Thor, will be trading in Thor’s hammer for a new role.
Deadline reports that the Thor cutie will be starring opposite Kristen Stewart in SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN. Universal is taking on the classic Snow White story with Stewart as the fairest of them all, and now have cast Hemsworth as the huntsman.
Also starring in Snow White and the Huntsman is Charlize Theron as the evil jealous stepmother, who sets the huntsman’s role into motion by ordering him to kill Snow White.
Hemsworth is a relative newcomer to the big screen. He’s appeared as George Kirk in J.J Abram’s 2009 reboot of Star Trek, and is best know for his role on Home and Away, the Australian TV show that allowed Heath Ledger his start.
Release for Snow White and The Huntsman is June of 2012. What do you think of Hemsworth being cast as Eric, the huntsman? Think he’ll be a good fit? Let us know in the comments below!
