Now Waste Even More Time On YouTube With Over 3,000 More Movies!
Good news for all of us that like to kill time on YouTube – the video streaming site will add 3,000 new movie titles to their video library.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Google is pushing HARD to make YouTube competitive with other streaming sites – Netflix, Hulu, etc. With the addition of the new films which include: The King’s Speech, Inception, The Green Hornet, and Despicable Me; YouTube will be streaming 6,000 films.
If you’re looking for the new videos to start watching right away, it may take a while for YouTube to catch up with the new roll out which is looking to take a few weeks. And bad news for those fans outside the United States – these new videos are only available to the U.S viewers.
Rentals through YouTube start at $2.99 for general library titles, and for new releases will be $3.99. Expect to see videos from studios like Universal, Sony Pictures, and Warner Bros. through this new deal.
What do you guys think? YouTube is boasting “movie extras” like interviews with the cast and alternate endings… do you think this will be a big push for YouTube? Or will you continue to stream your videos through Netflix and Hulu?
