Christopher Meloni May Get Starring Role In MAN OF STEEL
Last month, fans and critics alike were shocked into learning that Law & Order: SVU star Christopher Meloni would not be returning to the show in the fall. However, that doesn’t mean we won’t be seeing our favorite detective soon – it just might not be on the small screen.
According to Deadline, Meloni is in negotiations to star in a major role in the Superman reboot MAN OF STEEL. There is currently no word on what character he would play, but no matter the role, the casting would no doubt place Meloni in the spotlight, giving him a spot alongside A-listers such as Russell Crowe, Diane Lane and Kevin Costner.
Directed by Zack Snyder and starring Henry Cavill and Amy Adams, Man of Steel is due to begin filming shortly and set to be released in December of 2012.

Two words.
Poetic. Justice.
Dick Wolf, are you listening? This is what happens when you cast aside one half of one of the greatest TV couples ever to grace the small screen — you have to settle for lesser-known actors, while the A-list actor who you turned your back on even when he devoted 12 years to making your series one of the most popular shows on TV, gets a significant part in what may well be one of the most popular “movie events” in recent years.
Congratulations to Christopher Meloni. He deserves this, and even more great parts in fantastic movies.
