Laurence Fishburne Is New Boss In MAN OF STEEL
The casting for the new Superman reboot MAN OF STEEL just keeps getting better, with the latest addition of actor Laurence Fishburne being no exception. According to the The LA Times, Fishburne has been tapped to play Perry White, the newsman who “rules the room” at the Daily Planet. He joins a star-studded cast that includes Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, and Kevin Costner.
Aside from his Oscar-nominated status, Fishburne, best known for his role as Morpheus in The Matrix, will hold the title of the first African American actor to be cast in any version of Superman that has been made so far. Recently seen in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, his credits include Apocalypse Now, Mystic River and the soon-to-be-released Contagion.
Directed by Zack Snyder and produced by Christopher Nolan, Man of Steel is set to open in 2013.
