Film Equals At The 2012 Seattle International Film Festival
Hey guys, Jordan here. Luckily, I’ve had the tremendous opportunity to cover this year’s Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF). The 38th SIFF starts May 17 and spans until June 10, screening 273 features and 187 shorts from 75 different countries.
I’ll only be able to catch a fraction of the films, but I will do my best to inform you which movies are worth catching now (in Seattle) or the future (upon wide release). As of right now, I’ve had the opportunity to see 17 feature films, but that number will increase as the festival gets under way.
For the Press, SIFF started almost three weeks ago with the Press Launch. Here, we got the opportunity to see the Academy Award winning director T.J. Martin (Undefeated). Also, we got to see the unveiling of the full lineup. Lastly, we caught a screening of the Opening Night Gala film Your Sister’s Sister (which, by the way, is an awesome film). Since then, I’ve been attending as many press screenings as possible in order to collect some ammo for the next few weeks.
Please stay tuned for some more in-depth reviews as the Festival gets underway! Some reviews will coincide with their SIFF showtimes, while others will wait until the wider release.

Thank you, and please enjoy!
