Lost’s Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje Lands Villainous Role In ‘Thor 2’
It has been announced that Thor: The Dark World will feature actor Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as its newest villain per The Hollywood Reporter. The British ‘Oz’ star is set to portray Algrim, suiting up as the strongest elf for the Alan Taylor directed feature. Akinnuoye-Agbaje joins the ranks with Thor’s enemy Malekith (Christopher Eccleston) who will show up in the sequel that was penned by co-writers Don Payne and Robert Rodat.
‘Thor: The Dark World’ will bring back actors Chris Hemsworth (Snow White and the Hunstman) in the title role, Natalie Portman (Black Swan), Kat Dennings (2 Broke Girls) and Anthony Hopkins (Red Dragon). The Marvel production is slated for a November 8th 2013 release.
Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje has previously appeared in the role of Mr. Eko in the cult classic series ‘Lost’ among several other productions such as the TV series long running series ‘Monk’, ‘Strike Back’, ‘Hunted’, 2002’s ‘Bourne Identity’ as Wombosi, ‘Killer Elite’ with action star Jason Statham, ‘The Thing’ and ‘Faster’. The actor is also part of the upcoming 2013 picture ‘Bullet to the Head’ where he will plat the character Morel.
