‘Star Wars’ 3D Episodes II & III To Be Released Back to Back In 2013
Stars Wars Episode II Attack of the Clones and Stars Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith has been spun into 3D format with both the features making their way back into theaters just short of a month apart from each other. The good news was announced to loyal fans by Lucasfilm Ltd and Twentieth Century Fox during the Stars Wars Celebration VI that attracted franchise fanatics all looking to show their support for the massive sci-fi saga that just released ‘Episode I The Phantom Menace’. The 3D feature managed to gross $102.8 million globally. News of the re-release was also announced on the Star Wars Facebook page.
Episode II is slated to make it into theaters on September 20th 2013 with Episode III following closely behind with a debut date of October 11th 2013. The 3D conversion challenge of the George Lucas created story was met by Prime Focus with the promise that fans will fall in love with the installments once again when they witness scenes of Kamino, the planet of Mustafar, the well known fight between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, and more, that has all been enhanced with today’s technology. The 3D project was supervised by Industrial Light & Magic.
