Here is the first official trailer for Steven Spielberg’s upcoming film Lincoln featuring Daniel Day Lewis as Abraham Lincoln, along with some new photos. The movie also stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tommy Lee Jones, Jackie Earle Haley, Jared Harris, Sally Field, David Strathairn, Lee Pace, James Spader, David Costabile, and John Hawkes

“Lincoln” focuses on the last four months of the president’s life and the political strategizing he undertook at the close of the Civil War to ensure that slavery would be forever outlawed.

The movie will be released in limited theaters November 9, expanding November 16, 2012.
