Feel-Good Retirement Home Comedy from Dustin Hoffman, ‘Quartet’, Gets its First Trailer [+Photos]
Already a hit at Toronto and London, Dustin Hoffman’s directorial debut, Quartet, is a feel-good comedy looking not unlike last year’s ‘The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel’ if just for its veteran British cast. Bringing together Maggie Smith, Michael Gambon, Billy Connolly, Pauline Collins and Tom Courtenay, we follow a group of retired opera singers as they rediscover their forgotten passion to raise money for their retirement home. It could prove another success for Smith, whose role in ‘Downton Abbey’ has given her a sort of resurgence on the big screen.
The film hits cinemas on December 28, 2012.
