First Trailer for ‘Any Day Now’ Does its Best to Pull on the Heartstrings
There are certain films that hit big come awards season, and the December release for ‘inspired by a true story’ drama Any Day Now definitely fits the mold. It’s already made a splash on the festival circuit, winning a slew of audience awards at Tribeca, Seattle and Outfest, and the release date gives star Alan Cumming his best chance at winning a few gongs for his lead performance in the film.
Though this trailer delves a little too far into sentimentality, we can tell its got heart and, most importantly, a really good story to tell. Co-starring Garret Dillahunt and Isaac Leyva, the film will be released in New York and Los Angeles on December 14th.
