Chronicle Actor Dane DeHaan Cast In ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has found their Harry Osborn in actor Dane DeHaan, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. The news of DeHaan’s casting was released by Director Marc Webb who will return to shepard the second installment of the franchise reloaded. “Meet Harry Osborn. So excited to have him on board. @danedehaan,” the helmer revealed after what was said to be an intense search for the right actor.
Other actors who almost made the cut for ‘Spider-Man 2’ include candidates Sam Claflin (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides), Douglas Booth (LOL), Boyd Holbrook (The Host), Eddie Redmayne (Les Miserables) and Alden Ehrenreich (Beautiful Creatures).
DeHaan’s new role places the actor side by side with leading stars Andrew Garfield (The Social Network) back as Peter Parker, Emma Stone (Crazy Stupid Love) reprising her role as Gwen Stacy, newcomer to the comic book feature, Jamie Foxx (Ray) and Shailene Woodley (The Descendants), who will portray Mary Jane Watson in the movie.
The performer brings with him a resume that includes ‘In Treatment’, ‘True Blood’, ‘Lincoln’, ‘Lawless’, ‘Jack and Diane’, the TV Movie ‘The Front’, ‘Law and Order: Special Victims Unit’ and ‘At Risk’.
